KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) on Saturday said that EHH, a Turkish organization, has pledged to provide 100 metric tons of improved quality seeds in assistance to Afghanistan.
A statement from MAIL received by Pajhwok Afghan News said that acting agriculture minister, Mualvi Abdul Rahman Rashid and deputy minister MualviSadrazam met the officials of EHH organization.
The source said that Mulavi Abdul Rahman Rashid assured the organization of full security for its activities in Afghanistan and said, “Turkey is a friend of us and we are ready for any needed cooperation with that country, we assure this organization of complete security for implementing any projects.”
An official of EHH organization said that they would provide 100 metric tons of improved quality seeds for Afghan farmers and it would also continue its cooperation with MAIL in the future.
The official said that EHH had effective programs for Afghan farmers and had also plan to create deep irrigation wells for them in the future.
MAIL annually distributes improved quality seeds to farmers on this season, a plan that will be also implemented current year.
