SHARAN (Pajhwok): Residents of Gomal district in southeastern Paktika province say the district has been neglected for the past 20 years and no development activity could be carried out during the period.
They say Gomal is a large and border district of Paktika whose residents are deprived of facilities in health, education, rehabilitation and other areas of life.
Khalifa Gul Mohammad, a tribal elder and resident of Shazo village in the district, told Pajhwok Afghan News that previous governments had forgotten this important district and had not provided any facilities to people.
