KABUL (Pajhwok): US Special Representative Thomas West and Russia’s security and political representatives have met in Moscow on shared interests in Afghanistan.
West tweeted on Monday: “Met today in Moscow with Special Presidential Representative Kabulov and Security Council Deputy Secretary Venediktov. Discussed shared interests in Afghanistan and need for Taliban to fulfill commitments to international community.”
Earlier, US, Russia, China and Pakistan after an Extended Troika meeting in Islamabad reaffirmed centrality of Taliban fulfilling abti-terrorism commitments, working with fellow Afghans on inclusive governance and protecting the rights of all Afghans, especially women and girls.
