KABUL (Pajhwok): The US Senate has accused US officials of hiding facts about the situation in Afghanistan and sidelining the previous Afghan government in talks with the Taliban.
"During the negotiations, the Trump administration, in addition to the Senate, sidelined the previous Afghan government ," said Bob Menendez, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
He also accused Islamabad of double standards with the United States on Afghanistan and said that Pakistan had never been a sincere ally.
He said Pakistan played a double game that killed many American soldiers and added that what happened in Afghanistan was a major setback . . .
