Unpaid Parwan teachers complain of serious economic situation

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): A number of teachers in central Parwan province say they have been in serious financial problems due to non-payment of salaries for several months, while officials say teachers salaries will be paid in the near future.
The salaries of teachers and other government employees have not been paid for the last three months.
Hedayatullah, a teacher at the State Experimental High School in Charikar, the capital of Parwan province, travels about ten kilometers every day from his village, Dolaneh to the high school on bicycle for teaching his students.
