MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): More than 750 schools for 600,000 girls and boys are open in northern Balkh province, an official said on Monday.
Education Director Maulvi Abdul Jalil Shaheed said this at a graduation ceremony for 14 students of 12th class at the Afghan-Turk High School in Mazar-i-Sharif.
He hoped during winter vacation all hurdles in the way of girls’ education would be cleared.
