KABUL (Pajhwok): The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in its latest report has warned about the risk of famine, reducing access to healthcare and increasing violence against girls and women in Afghanistan, calling for major adjustments in delivery of humanitarian aid to the country.
The IRC recently published a list of countries facing the most severe humanitarian crises, with Afghanistan at the top ten in terms of humanitarian crisis and the need for immediate assistance.
The list begins with Sudan, followed by Syria, Yemen, Myanmar, Nigeria, Congo, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Somalia, and ends with Afghanistan.
