KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghan government on Tuesday rejected Tajik president’s claim that a number of terrorist camps existed Afghanistan border areas with Tajikistan.
Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on Monday proposed at a special meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) that a security belt should be created on border with Afghanistan.
"Overall, according to Tajikistan's information, there are more than 40 terrorist bases and training centers with more than 6,000 fightersin the north-eastern provinces of Afghanistan," he said.
