FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Six children died from measles virus in the past month in western Ghor province, an official said on Sunday.
Abdul Ahmad Noori, head of the Provincial Hospital, told Pajhwok Afghan News: “Around 100 children affected by measles referred to the hospital in the past one month out of them 68 have recovered, 30 hospitalised while six died.”
He said the virus spread in the far-flung areas of the province affecting hundreds of children.
He said despite the blockade of transportation routes they were trying to reach out to affected children.
