FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Twenty None-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) have been barred from functioning in western Ghor province due to financial corruption, an official said on Tuesday.
Information Director Mawlavi Abdul Hai Zaeem said 20 NGOs had been stopped from functioning in the province, adding that some organisations worked in violation of the principles of the Islamic Emirate.
Referring to ACF, he said the NGO did not identify deserving families in its survey in Dolina district and included well-off individuals instead.
“ACF surveyed families of security personnel from the previous regime and ignored deserving and poor families,” he said.
Meanwhile, an official of a welfare organistion from Ghor province said that the government stopped the activities of all NGO.
He said it was not clear when these NGOs will resume their work.
