Govt insists women employees work separately from men

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Amr Bil Maroof wa Nahi Anil Munkar (Vice and Virtue) Ministry has urged government employees to decorate their appearance and moral character in line with Shaira and directed women employees to wear Islamic Hijab and work in separate rooms.

The ministry rejected rumors regarding ban on government employees without beard.

Raz Mohammad Hamid, an officer of the AmriBilMarofWaNahiAnilMunkar Ministry, during a visit to Kabul Police Headquarters told its employees that now was the time that all should show compliance with the Islamic Sharia Law.

Hamid told them to allow their beards to grow and decorate their appearances in line with the Islamic Sharia principles, stop working during prayers time, women employees should work in separate rooms.

He stressed women employees had been provided their rights to work but they should discharge this right under the teaching of Islamic Sharia.

He said women employees should work in separate rooms so that they confidently discharge their duties.

He said gate keepers of the ministry had been directed not to allow women without Islamic Hijab because immorality grows when women violate Islamic Hijab.

Hamid also refuted some rumors that AmriBilMaroof ministry take attendance in mosques, shaved the heads of some people and fired some beardless employees.

“Some Mujahideen have allowed their head hairs to grow, they are advised not to violate Islamic way of growing hairs,” he said.
