TALOQAN (Pajhwok): Handmade wooden bowl is one of the oldest industries in the country and is still considered a high-earning business in northern Takhar province, but with an increase in the import of dishes, the industry lost its customers.
Shamsuddin, 65, one of the famous wooden bowl makers in Warsaj district of Takhar, inherited this profession from his ancestors and has been axing the wood for 50 years to produce wooden bowls.
He said he was making a living for his family through this industry.
