KABUL (Pajhwok): Coal-laden trucks have been stopped at the Torkham crossing to facilitate the export of fresh fruits at and prevent them going rotten at the dry port in eastern Nangarhar province, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) said on Monday.
The fresh fruit harvest is at its peak in Afghanistan and to ensure their safe exports, the ministry said it had prioritised the transfer of trucks laden with fruits due to traffic congestion.
In a statement, the ministry asked traders to export coal via the Durand Line in in Paktia, Paktika and Khost provinces.
