JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Farmers in 10 district of eastern Nangarhar province will be distributed improved quality wheat seed to boost the crop’s yield, officials say.
The improved wheat seed will be distributed to farmers in districts where wheat is grown every year and this year the farmers received less harvest due to drought.
Wahidullah Jabarkhil, head of information and data department of Nangarhar Agriculture and Livestock Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News the Department of Agriculture, in coordination with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will distribute improved quality wheat seed in order to increase the crop’s yield . . .
