MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Two people have been killed and eight others wounded as a result of blast and a traffic accident in northern Faryab and western Ghor provinces.
Faryab Crime Branch Chief Mufti Mohammad Ismail told Pajhwok Afghan News that one person was killed and four others wounded in a hand grenade attack in the 1st police district of Maimana city.
He added that a young metal worker killed and four people, including two women and a child, were injured in this blast.
Doctors of the provincial hospital called the condition of injured stable.
According to another report, four people were injured in a traffic accident in the Shirin Tagab district of Ghor on Tuesday.
District police chief said that a corolla vehicle veered off the road and overturned, as a result of which four people were injured.
On the other hand, one person was killed as a result of dispute between two families in the province.
Maulvi Abdul Rahman Badri, the spokesman Ghor police, told Pajhwok: "Yesterday evening, a person named Mohammad from Kachvi Nili village of Tiure district was going to the mosque when he was shot dead by Abdul Hakim."
According to him, this incident was caused due to a dispute over children.
He added that the killer was arrested by the security forces from Dera Takht district of Herat after fleeing and the investigation was underway.
