KALAT (Pajhwok): Two workers have been killed and a third injured as a result of rockslide in southern Zabul province, an official said on Wednesday.
The incident happened in a chromite mine in Shahr-i-Safa district on Tuesday night, police spokesman Zabihullah Jawhari told Pajhwok Afghan News.
District chief Maulvi Nazir Ahmadi confirmed the miners were killed when part of the mountain slid and a rock fell on the mine.
Jawhari added 10 miners were working in the mine when the incident took place.
