MEHTHARLAM (Pajhwok): The Public Health Department of eastern Laghman province says 570 peoople, including 220 girls, graduated from the midwifery and nursing departments of a private medical institute on Thursday.
Dr. Samiullah Abdi, director of Public Health Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News: “Today 350 boys and 220 girls graduated from Shafa Private Medical Institute after three and two years of education respectively.”
He added the 220 girls graduated from a two-year program of midwifery and the boys from a three-year nursing course.
Abdul Munir, one of the new graduates, told Pajhwok they received both practical and theoretical studies . . .
