KABUL (Pajhwok): The Kabul Municipality has closed 23 capital-based wedding halls for disregarding urban rules, health regulations and other principles.
In a statement, the municipality said the National Environment Production Authority recently evaluated the operations of 128 hotels and weeding halls.
After the assessment, about 23 wedding halls were shut down for failing to implement environmental rules and urban regulations, the statement added.
Owners of the hotels were asked to operate in accordance with urban rules and health guidelines, the municipality said.
They were also directed to prevent the use of plastic dishes, install fume filters in their kitchens . . .
