KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan’s higher education curriculum does not meet contemporary needs and cannot be used to address the problems facing the country, says the second deputy prime minister.
Abdul Salam Hanafi laments that no effective steps had been taken in the past two decades to update or suitably amend the higher education curriculum.
He was addressing a ceremony here on Saturday when the newly-appointed Minister of Higher Education Sheikh Neda Mohammad Nadeem formally assumed charge.
Addressing the event, the deputy premier directed the Ministry of Higher Education to pay serious attention to dealing with the curriculum issue.
