PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Four people have been killed and three others injured during an armed clash over a land dispute in northern Baghlan province, a local resident said on Tuesday.
Javed Khan, a resident of Tani village of Dand Ghori district, told Pajhwok Afghan News: “The families of Sher Mohammad and Jamal Naser have been feuding for years over ownership of a land, which turned into a fatal fight yesterday and as a result, four people were killed and three more were injured from both sides”.
He said Jamal Nasir and two others were killed and Nasir’s son and sister injured and one person was killed and two others injured from another side.
Mawlawi Sher Ahmad Burhani, police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and told Pajhwok Afghan News that security forces had reached the area and had started investigation from both sides.
Burhani also said four people were killed and two others were injured in the clash over some land.
But Abdullah Malang, public health department spokesperson, said four bodies and three wounded people were brought to the hospital.
He added all the victims had been shot, but the wounded were taken away by their relatives from the hospital to unknown places.
