KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): A number of residents of northern Kunduz province say prices of fuel items, especially coal, have risen sharply as winter approaches, a problem that has worried people.
The complaint about high rates of fuel comes amid increasing unemployment and poverty in many parts of the country.
Tila Mohammad Darwish, a resident of Kunduz, said the price of 7-kilogram coal surged from 40 afghanis to 100 afghanis.
According to him, if the government does not control the price of coal, people may face serious problems in the coming winter.
