KABUL (Pajhwok): The United States has provided $1.1 billion in assistance to Afghanistan since August 2021, Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) said on Wednesday.
SIGAR, on its twitter handle said, the US remains Afghanistan’s single largest donor, having provided $1.1 billion in assistance, comprising nearly $812 million from United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and nearly $320 million from State Department.
SIGAR said $326 million of the assistance was provided in September of the current 2022 year.
