KABUL (Pajhwok): The acting minister of water and energy has met Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan Dr. Ahmad Khalid Alami.
Minister Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor is currently on an official trip to Uzbekistan, where he also met Afghan Consul General Mohammad Idris Zarshvi in Tashkent.
The problems facing Afghan citizens living in in the Central Asian republic and ways of strengthening relations between the two countries came up for discussion at the meeting.
The ministerial visit is aimed at expanding Afghanistan’s electricity imports from Uzbekistan and extending the power supply agreement.
