KABUL (Pajhwok): A team of the Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA) is in Uzbekistan for negotiations on the transition of the Hairatan-Mazar-i-Sharif railroad to the Afghan.
The two sides will discuss finalisation of the railway line’s transfer to ARA control and sign an agreement in this regard.
Last week, the Uzbekistan Railways announced suspending goods transportation to Afghanistan.
The suspension was linked to Afghanistan’s failure to honour its commitment to completing phased technical work by February 1.
