The state-run Bakhtar News Agency quoted a statement from MoI as saying the districts had been established in Helmand, Farah, Baghlan, Faryab, Sar-i-PUl, Ghor, Badghis, Paktika, Zabul, Nuristan and Kandahar provinces.
It added the establishment of the districts had been approved by the prime minister on the basis of a suggestion from MoI.
