KABUL (Pajhwok): Five check dams consuming more than 35 million afghanis were inaugurated on Monday after their completion in central Maidan Wardak province.
The Ministry of Water and Energy in a press release said the check dams were built in Maidan Shahr and Narkh, Syedabad and Daimardad districts.
The dams were inaugurated during a ceremony attended by Maidan Wardak River Authority Maulvi Abdul Samad Halim.
