TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): In a first, the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) opened its branch in central Uruzgan province on Tuesday.
ACCI director Mohammad Younis Momand said their branch in Uruzgan will help ensure coordination among government officials and businesspeople and also pave the way for foreign investments.
He added that Uruzgan was an agricultural province from where almond, figs, sugarcane and cumin were exported to many Asian countries.
Mullah Hekmatullah Muzamel, deputy governor of Uruzgan, said the new branch would resolve problems local traders faced and would help export products of the province in good quality.
