Elderly man jumps to death from hilltop in Daikundi

NEILI (Pajhwok): A 63-year-old man committed suicide by jumping from a hilltop in Takhtoband district of central Daikundi province, an official said on Sunday.

Police spokesman Ghulam Ali Javed told Pajhwok Afghan News that the elderly man climbed to the top of the mountain after a verbal dispute with his son on Saturday.

He said the man jumped from the mountain and ended his life.

According to him, the son of the deceased has been arrested by security personnel for investigation.
