KABUL (Pajhwok): The Customs Department seized more than 57,000 kilograms of smuggled goods in five provinces last week, the Ministry of Finance said on Monday.
In a statement, MoF wrote these goods were seized in Nimroz, Kandahar, Farah, Nangarhar and Helmand provinces.
It said the seized items included 22,324 kilograms of chocolate, 14,013 kilograms of brown sugar, 1,425 kilograms of raw chickpeas, 11,000 kilograms of orange, 1,428 kilograms of macaroni, 2,385 sacks, 1,200 kilograms of tomato paste, 2,178 kilograms of various types of plastic, 610 kilograms of medicines, 375 kilograms of . . .
