KABUL (Pajhwok): As part of international community’s humanitarian assistance, Switzerland has contributed 1.5 million francs equivalent to 1.7 million US dollars to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund.
The UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA) announced the development in a tweet today (Monday) and thanked Switzerland for it.
According to OCHA, Switzerland being a multi-year donor contributed CHF 18M to the AHF since 2016.
The World Food Program said in a report today that 28.8 million people in Afghanistan need humanitarian aid in 2023.
