1 killed, 43 injured in Kunduz traffic accident

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): One person has been killed and 43 others wounded as a result of traffic accident in northern Kunduz province, an official said on Thursday.

Police spokesman Jumaddin Khaksar told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident happened in the Imam Sahib district on Wednesday.

He said one child was killed and 43 others wounded when a pick-up vehicle carrying participants of a wedding party veered off the road and flipped over.

Some of the injured were in critical condition and evacuated to the district hospital for medical treatment, Khaksar added.
