KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): The caretaker government has approved 47 million afghanis in monthly fund for the Mirwais Hospital in southern Kandahar province after the suspension of assistance from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
Governor Mullah Shirin Izam held several meetings with ICRC officials on continued support but they showed no interest, his spokesman Maulvi Mahmood Izam told Pajhwok Afghan News.
According to him, an assessment of the Mirwais Regional Hospital’s needs and was shared with the leadership of the Islamic Emirate, which approved a 47 million afghanis monthly fund for the hospital.
