PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief has suggested the creation of a joint panel to address Pakistan-Afghanistan issues.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said: “Pakistan and Afghanistan can move towards resolving their problems by constituting a joint commission.”
Addressing a meeting of the JUI-F provincial council in Peshawar on Sunday, the influential cleric said: “Our party is ready to play its role in this regard.”
Fazlur Rahman’s proposal comes nearly two weeks a clash between the security forces of the two countries, which to the closure of the Torkham crossing for nine days.
