PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Amid efforts to issue visas on arrival to Afghan citizens, Pakistan has urged the interim Afghan government to open a sub-consulate in the border town of Chaman.
The Balochistan administration would also request the federal government for the installation of a passport reader in the border town, Dawn reported on Monday.
A meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Ali Mardan Domki, discussed the issues. The participants were told at least 150 Afghan families had been evicted over the past few days.
A monitoring committee involving security officials and district administration representatives is supervising the repatriation process.
