JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Agriculture and Livestock Department officials say this year’s cotton yield has increased, but growers demand suitable market for their produce.
Cotton was planted on 2,898 hectares of land in Nangarhar province and its harvest is expected to reach 4,762 metric tons.
Agriculture and Livestock Department spokesman Ajmal Subhani told Pajhwok Afghan News that cotton yield had increased compared to last year’s harvest.
“Fortunately, cotton crop was planted on 2,898 hectares of land this year and the yield is higher than last year”.
He said the cotton yield would reach 4,762 metric tons . . .
