KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MoAIL) says Uzbekistan has underlined the development of bilateral trade ties with Afghanistan.
On its X handle, MoAIL wrote a joint delegation of the ministry during a trip to Uzbekistan, met officials of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of that country.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture Maulvi Sadr-i-Azam Usmani briefed Uzbek officials on Afghanistan’s increased exports of agricultural products.
Usmani said: “Afghanistan and Uzbekistan are neighbouring countries with common interests. We want to increase our livestock and agricultural exports to Uzbekistan and address existing problems.”
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Commerce cited the development of relations between the two neighbouring countries.
He said: “We have very good relations with the government of Afghanistan and we are trying to further expand these ties and work on a new system is underway to bring many facilities to Afghanistan.”
The head of Afghanistan Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock, Khan Mohammad Frotan, spoke about the value of trade and asked for a solution to problems of exporting agricultural products to Uzbekistan.
