JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Financed by the European Union (EU), two veterinary clinics have been set up in Sherzad and Khogyani districts of eastern Nangarhar province.
Spokesman for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation department Ajmal Subhani told Pajhwok Afghan News that the Dutch Committee for Afghanistan (DCA) had trained a number of veterinarians for a period of six months for the pet clinics, Subhani said.
The trainees also offered motorbikes, animal’s health kits, refrigerators, clinic equipment, kitchen kits and 47 types of medicines.
Totally the EU spent $8,000 on construction and equipping the clinics.
