KABUL (Pajhwok): Over 500 administrative processes simplified in the past three years and the process is still underway, an official said on Wednesday.
The Administrative Affairs Head Anwar-ul-Haq Anwar said this while addressing a gathering regarding the simplification of administrative processes.
An agreement regarding the implementation of already simplified processing patterns was signed between the Ministry of Agriculture, Da Afghanistan Breshna Shirkat, and Kabul Municipality while the Education Ministry, Public Health Ministry and the provincial Municipalities have signed the Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) for the simplification of administrative processes during the ceremony.
He said the simplification of administrative processes in all areas was a positive development for the people and government.
Mawlavi Abdul Salaam Hanafi, the acting prime minister’s administrative aide, said until now administrative processes have been simplified and shortened in nine ministries and government institutions.
He said it would help the provision of timely and quick services, avoid a lot of paperwork and prevent corruption.
He said: “Unfortunately, there is still a lot of paperwork in bureaucracy and our institutions, when a student comes here from a province, for a necessary document, he has to go through a lot of steps and have to stay in hotels and other places, for this reason paperwork should be eliminated in the government institutions.”
Acting Education Minister Mawlavi Habibullah Agha said that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) gave priority to the provision of quality and transparent services. For this reason, the simplification of complex administrative processes had been prioritised and they would take every step in this direction.
He said He says that simplifying processes is a positive move, they appreciate it and consider it an important way to increase efficiency, good services and create transparency.
Officials of the health ministry, agriculture ministry, Kabul municipality and the Breshna Shirkat also spoke on this occasion.
They said to provide good and better services, create transparency and efficiency in administrative affairs and reduce the gap between the people and the system, the simplification of the complex work processes was the necessary solution and promised comprehensive cooperation in this regard.
