HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Local officials in western Herat province say the second transit train carrying Afghanistan’s mineral resources has departed for Turkey.
In a statement, the local administration highlighted that this marks a significant step towards strengthening the economy and developing transportation infrastructure in the country.
The train left the Rozanak station in Herat on Monday, heading for Turkey.
The train carries 550 tons of minerals via the Herat-Khawf railway line to the Bilijik station in Turkey.
Notably, this export shipment consists of talc being sent to Turkey.
