JALALABAD (Pajhwok): About 3.851 million trees will be planted as part of a spring tree plantation campaign in Jalalabad city and districts of eastern Nangarhar province, officials say.
The officials urged people to plant one tree each for themselves and another for the country to prevent environmental pollution and increase fertility.
Deputy Governor and other officials launched the tree plantation drive today at the Agriculture Department premises.
Nangarhar Agriculture and Livestock Director Maulvi Mohammad Wali Mohsin said that this year, government and private sectors nurseries had produced 3.810 million seedlings of various types.
