KABUL (Pajhwok): About 132 Afghan nationals have been flown on a charter flight from Pakistan to Germany, a media report said on Thursday.
Deutsche Welle (DW) reported another 25 Afghan citizens, who were supposed to be shifted to Germany on the same flight, were not allowed to fly due to flaws in their documents.
The report explained: “Out of these individuals, 74 were transferred to Germany through the Federal Admission Programme for Afghans, 14 others via the so-called Human Rights List, one person along with five family members through the admission programme for former local employees and 38 others through another admission programme.”
This was the second flight bringing Afghan refugees from Islamabad to Berlin in past two weeks. On Tuesday, 155 Afghans had arrived in Germany.
Since the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s return, Germany has taken in more than 48,000 Afghans.
