KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) says it has completed preparations to send teams to Iran to verify the identities of Afghan refugees.
In a statement, the NSIA said Deputy Director of Population Registration, Maulvi Mohammad Nabi Nusrat, met with representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Refugees and Repatriation, and Finance regarding the deployment of the teams.
Nusrat emphasized that providing identity verification and population registration services for Afghan refugees in Iran is a top priority for the authority.
He added that all preliminary steps have been finalized, and the teams will be dispatched soon.
