Flamethrower attack at Colorado rally injures 6

KABUL (Pajhwok): Six people were injured in an attack during a demonstration in Boulder, Colorado, according to media reports.

The incident occurred on Sunday as members of a volunteer group, Run For Their Lives, gathered to raise awareness about Israeli captives being held in Gaza, Al Jazeera reported.

The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, reportedly shouted “Free Palestine” before using a makeshift flamethrower to carry out the assault, said FBI Special Agent Mark Michalek.

Authorities arrested Soliman at the scene. He was also injured during the incident and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Officials have not disclosed the nature of his injuries.

While no charges have been formally announced, officials stated they intend to hold the suspect “fully accountable.”
