KANDAHAR (Pajhwok): Information and Culture Department officials say three historical artifacts dating back to the Ahmad Shahi period have been found during the reconstruction of Ahmad Shah Baba’s house in southern Kandahar province.
Abdul Shakoor Shapand, the head of the Kandahar Information and Culture Department’s Art and Culture Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News today that the artifacts included a stone lamp, an earthen lamp, and a metal chain.
He added the artifacts would be displayed along with other historical relics from the Ahmad Shahi period in the small museum of Ahmad Shah Baba’s house after cleaning,.
Shapand also emphasized that the work of preserving and reconstructing historical buildings was being pursued seriously.
