KABUL (Pajhwok): Russia’s Foreign Ministry says the country has sent nearly 4,000 tonnes of humanitarian food assistance to Afghanistan.
TASS news agency, citing the ministry, reported that the shipment includes nutritionally fortified flour and wheat.
According to the source, the aid is part of Russia’s regular contribution to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) fund designated for Afghanistan.
The report said the shipment weighs 3,976 tonnes and will be distributed to needy families across Afghanistan.
