KABUL (Pajhwok): The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) says there is an acute need for increased humanitarian assistance and support for more than four million Afghans living in neighbouring Iran.
In a post on X, NRC Secretary General Jan Egeland said Afghan and Iranian children had been traumatised by the recent intense bombardment across Iran.
He noted that more than four million Afghans living in Iran required broader and more immediate support.
“Most of their parents tell me they have lost the little income they had due to the economic crisis caused by the war,” he added.
