ACCI chief to visit 4 countries to boost trade, investment

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) Chief Sayed Karim Hashimi is set to visit Uzbekistan, India, Kyrgyzstan and China to attract investment, expand private sector ties and create new opportunities for Afghan traders.

In a statement, the ACCI said Hashimi would participate in a number of regional and international forums and exhibitions during the visit.

According to the statement, he will attend the Fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum, the Bharat Buildcon International Exhibition in India, the Afghanistan-Kyrgyzstan Private Sector Business Forum and the Shanghai Exhibition and Conference.

The ACCI said the visits aim to attract investment, strengthen links between Afghanistan’s private sector and regional countries and create new opportunities for Afghan traders and investors.

It added that, on the sidelines of the events, Hashimi would hold official and working meetings with government officials, chamber leaders, private sector representatives, investors and traders from the participating countries.

According to the ACCI, the meetings are intended to enhance economic, trade and investment cooperation between Afghanistan and countries in the region.
