KABUL (Pajhwok): Local officials say two illegally installed and active Starlink internet devices have been discovered and seized in southeastern Khost province.
According to a statement from the Khost governor’s office, a joint technical team from the provincial Department of Communications and Information Technology, in coordination with the provincial administration, discovered the two illegal Starlink internet devices during a technical and intelligence operation.
The statement said the devices had been secretly installed and were operating at the Zarkashan Internet Company in Al-Falah Market, opposite the Yaqoubi Mosque in Khost City.
It added that three individuals allegedly involved in operating the illegal system had been handed over to the Khost Police for legal action, and the devices had been shut down.
The statement said the use of Starlink internet devices is prohibited under the applicable laws of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and directives issued by its leadership, adding that violations are subject to legal action.
