KABUL (Pajhwok): A young man from central Parwan province, Mustafa Mohammadi, has made a three-wheel vehicle running with the help of solar power.
Mohammadi, a Gulbahar resident in central Parwan who has studied up to 12th class in Kabul, told Pajhwok Afghan News the vehicle ran with the help of six solar panels and five batteries.
He said the vehicle had the capacity for two passengers and was built over a period of 45 days at a cost of 90,000 afghanis. Once the batteries were fully charged, he said, the vehicle would run up to 200 kilometres.
Mohammadi is married with two kids but he could not continue higher education due to economic challenges. “My son was always uncomfortable sleeping, so I made him a swing that runs on electricity.”
He said his vehicle was eco-friendly and it was especially efficient at a time when Kabul’s pollution was at its highest. He said he was working on some more designs, but they required financial assistance.
