KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): At least 20 insurgents have been killed and 10 others wounded during airstrikes in the Chardara district of northern Kunduz and Jawzjan provinces, a security officials said on Monday.
Maj. Ghulam Hazrat Karimi, a spokesman for the Afghan National Army (ANA), told Pajhwok Afghan News air force copters pounded Taliban hideouts in Arbab Hashim locality late on Sunday.
A statement from the ANA office in Kunduz said three armoured belonging to the insurgents were also destroyed by the Afghan Air Force (AAF) strike. Identities of the rebels, however, were not disclose in the statement.
Abdul Karim, a resident of locality, complained the government had not yet taken any action against the Taliban active in the district.
He accused the rebels of keeping the vehicles in civilian houses and people were worried their homes might come under attack from the security forces.
